Thanks to everyone who made the 2013 Garden Tour a success! And come back soon for information about the upcoming 2015 Tour
Joeth Barlas and Cecile Sandwen for their roles as Co-chairs. What wonderful organizers - we knew we would be in good hands!
Cecile Sandwen for her great publicity article in the Mosquito!
Barbara Lewis for her tireless recruitment, placement and management of more than 80 volunteers. Go, BARBARA!
Gio diNicola, Elizabeth Acquaviva, Lauren Bakewell, and Nancy Johnson for their successful advertising sales! They beat their own ambitious target and raised more than $3,000 in ad sales alone.
Our Garden Managers -- Under the coordination of Nancy Jaysane and Jane Williams, the following managers made the entire two days run smoothly: Linda Clark, Patricia Koenitzer, Jane Williams, Margaret Read-Viers and Tom Viers, Gio DiNicola, Lauren Bakewell, and Lauree Cameron Eckler.
Alison Saylor and Melinda Lindquist for managing the plant sale, including all the early and late birds.
Judy Blaikie Lane for her guidance with booklet layout and Tour signs.
Joeth Barlas for helping with program composition; daylily digging, potting and transport; and Tour signage.
Lonnie Harvey for delightful new artwork to illustrate this year’s gardens.
Judy Lane and Margaret Read-Viers who flawlessly executed the advance ticket sales.
Our treasurer Lauree Cameron Eckler, who reimbursed our expenses, provided the seed money for the cash boxes, tracked them down at the end, and reckoned the totals.
Nancy Jaysane and Jane Williams for scouting the gardens! What INSPIRED Choices!
Nancy Jaysane, who created the garden descriptions for the Tour guide
Meghan O’Sullivan Spanbauer, who thought of every possible publicity angle we could pursue, brought coffee and doughnuts, stepped in when requested, and did everything else that needed doing. (This thanks added by the Tour co-chairs, who appreciated Meghan's smiling support at every step. )
Nancy Jaysane & Janice Kissinger, the two CGC members who opened their own gardens . Thank you. It’s an awesome responsibility.
Everyone who sat at gardens, put up flyers & signs, picked up balloons or traffic cones, dug or potted daylilies, and contributed plants to the plant sale.
Cary Spanbauer for taking the amazing pictures in the slideshow!
Together, we created a festive two days for Carlisle. We made it an event to remember. And special thanks to Mother Nature, who blessed our community event this year.
