Welcome Back! Members' Harvest Potluck Description: A fall tradition resumes. The business meeting features a look at the year ahead. When: Monday, September 12, 2022; 6:30 PM OUTREACH: Victory Garden at Clock Barn Farm Description: A special invitation for club members and community to share harvest traditions and preserves with an outstanding local garden. FREE. Garden club invited Friday, Carlisle residents Saturday. When: Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, 2022; 10AM-4PM OCTOBER FUNDRAISER: Pumpkin Patch 2022 Description: The Club joins the First Religious Society (FRS) for a celebration of the harvest season. When: Saturday, October 1, 2022; 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Where: 27 School Street Demo/Speaker, Art in Bloom Roadshow Description: MFA's storied floral arrangement program comes to us! See home page for report. When: Tuesday, October 11, 2022; 7:00 PM NOVEMBER Member Round Table Description: Summer garden photos and short presentations. When: Tuesday November 8, 2022; 7:00 PM OUTREACH: Baubles and Bows Workshop Description: Assemble bows and picks to prepare for our annual COA wreath-making workshop. A fun night of socializing and learning how to make bows and baubles. When: Thursday, November 17; 7–9:00 PM Where: Sleeper Room, Carlisle Village Court, 145 Church Street DECEMBER OUTREACH: Holiday Wreath-Making Joint program with Council on Aging (COA) Description: The Garden Club will prep wreath bows and create wreaths or swags for public buildings. When: Tuesday, December 6: Setup: 9 AM; Wreathmaking: 10:30-11:30; Cleanup: 11:30-Noon Where: St. Irene's Church Basement, 181 East Street Holiday Party for Members and Guests Description: Gala holiday potluck dinner for Club members and their spouses/partners. When: Sunday, December 4, 2022; 5:00 PM JANUARY Book Club Read Description: Club members will discuss "The Hidden Life of Trees" by Peter Wohlleben -- one of the first books to explore what is now known as the "wood-wide web."
