2026 Spring on the Wing Exhibitors Will Include:
🍃
Seed Saving and Sharing
Do you have beautiful native plants, but not enough of them? Is your budget stressed by the cost of
native nursery plants that cost $20 or more a piece? It is time for you to take up the bark mulch, spread
some seeds, and begin seed saving. Each year, perennials offer free seeds that many gardeners just cut
down and discard. At the Seed Saving and Sharing table, volunteers will teach you how to turn those seeds into
dozens of free new plantings. It's easy and requires nothing but patience. Bring saved seeds, if you have
them, to share; we will have plenty to give out.
🍃
Friends of the Gleason Public Library (FoGPL) Houseplant Cutting Swap
Bring your rooted plants to the houseplant swap.
The only “rules” are: no more than 6 cuttings from a single plant type per household and all
cuttings must be labelled, have started roots, and be in pots.
Start rooting them now, so they’ll be ready for March 29th!
Feel free to bring more than one type of houseplant.
More info on how to prepare cuttings is located below.
The FoGPL table will also include a selection of gardening and gardening-related cookbooks FREE to anyone who wants them.
🍃
Friends of Center Park Pruning Demo
From 1 to 3 pm
Stop by Center Park between 1:00 to 3:PM for a tree-pruning demo and the Twiggy Workshop,
where attendees learn to make plant supports, garden arches, and whimsical decorative items
from grape vines, willow whips, and winter-fallen sticks and twigs.
All ages welcome.
Stop by before attending Spring on the Wing!
