Saving our Future

April, 22nd 2023 and throughout the year, the Carlisle Garden Club (CGC) is organizing events to raise awareness of issues created by climate change and to recognize the 53rd anniversary of the original Earth Day in April, 1970. To support these activities, the Club has planned a number of events that support Nature by providing native habitat and restorative agriculture for environmental stability.

Whenever possible, we will also work to support initiatives managed by other Carlisle-based conservation and environmental action groups. The overall town goal is to create a community-wide outreach and involve as many local residents as possible. You are invited to join us at any event that speaks to you or your family.

JOIN US AT CARLISLE'S ROUTE TO SUSTAINABILITY DAY

On April 22, 2023 the Club's annual Seed Swap and Share will join a town-wide event called The Route to Sustainability Day on the Carlisle Common. from 10 AM to 2 PM.  We'll have open-pollinated and heirloom seeds to share, seeds for pollinators, seeds of native plants suitable for our ecosystem. We'll have friendly and knowledgeable gardeners to chat with  you and offfer suggestions.  Hope to see you there.

The Carlisle Garden Club’s theme is “Garden as if the Earth depens on it.” We must all find ways to work together if we want to save our planet from irreparable damage. By sharing ideas we hope to create new and unexpected synergies.
