Carlisle Garden Club is best in 2018 OHD parade
Once again, the Garden Club captured the Old Home Day 1st Prize for our 2018 "Carlisle Olympics" marching team, who "never promised you a rose garden", but certainly a mosquito or two --- eew! Was it perhaps the headgear from Kathy Booth that tipped the scales? Congrats, Ladies in Hats!

JUNE 2015: THE GARDEN CLUB CRACK PRECISION GARDEN TOOL DRILL SQUAD marched away with the Grand Prize in Carlisle's 2015 Old Home Day Grand Parade on June 27. Wielding our new banner, our well-used garden tools, a wheelbarrow of flowers and treats, and a rhythm section who beat trowels on galvanized watering cans, the troupe of 16 steadfast marchers included teenage members of the Harring and Gladstone families, as well as the four-year-old grandson of former Garden Club president and ever-stalwart Alison Saylor. Unedited video at left captures our "dress rehearsal" in the school parking lot and a few frantic moments from the parade.
