The Carlisle Garden Club welcomes anyone of any age who wants to learn more about plants, horticulture, floral arrangements, and garden design focussed on sustainable agriculture. We invite you to be part of our community and members' programs arising out of those interests. The club holds regular meetings and events from September to June, with occasional summer events. 

Membership in the Carlisle Garden Club includes:

• Volunteer opportunities for community initiatives such as civic horticulture projects (planning, planting, pruning and weeding public gardens); holiday wreath-making with the Council on Aging; an annual community seed swap; the Carlisle Country Gardens Tour (in odd-numbered years); Pumpkins on the Common in the fall; the annual Garden Club Plant Sale; and the Club's college scholarship program.
• A membership card that provides discounts to area garden centers.
• Access to educational programs and lectures on a variety of gardening topics. At least one program a year is dedicated to cooking with herbs and fresh vegetables. 
• Field trips to botanical gardens, museums, workshops, and more.
• Socializing: Before and after each meeting/program we have refreshments and catch up with friends. It's a great way to keep in touch.
• Parties: Our annual calendar includes some memorable gatherings. The first is our Harvest Pot Luck in September where members prepare delicious seasonal dishes; another is our Holiday Party in December, which welcomes spouses/partners. At our annual meeting/social in June, we celebrate the year's "end" by meeting our scholarship recipient(s) and enjoying a tasty spread of appetizers and desserts donated by members.​
• A lively monthly newsletter with news, updates, gardening tips, and links to the latest resources.
• Informal summer garden visits to member gardens or a "consult" with our members on your own garden!
• Members who join after January 1 pay $25; those who join in May are prepaid for the coming year.​
